Kelly Williams (formerly Kelly Cain) Business owner and founder.
I love Imagine That! and Future Tech! I created this business in 1995 after realizing that I loved teaching children more than I loved Engineering. I have a Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering from Georgia Tech. This is a graduate program of Civil Engineering. I worked for the Environmental Protection Agency until my children were 1 and 3. I decided to take some time off at that point to spend more time with them. During that time I began teaching science and art (my other passion) as a volunteer at my church and at my children’s preschool and elementary school. Before that, I did not have any idea how much I loved teaching children. I decided then that I would make this my new career goal. I incorporated three of my favorite subjects together into one program and I created Imagine That! Originally it was a combined program of Science, Art and Creative Dramatics. I approached the schools where my children attended to see if I could offer the program after school and I was met with enthusiasm. The rest is history. We have grown as a business over these years and last summer (2016) we had 1600 children in our camps and currently have over 700 students a week in our classes. I am married to a wonderful man named Chuck. I love whitewater kayaking, painting, gardening, camping, hiking and dancing (Ballroom, Cajun and Contra).
I could not do it without my wonderful employees who make it all happen so I would like to take the opportunity to introduce them. As you will see we have a wonderful diversity in background that creates a wealth of information to be shared with your children. In addition to those listed below, we have about 50 additional employees during the summer to teach our camps. Most of these are teachers during the year that work with us during the summer.
Taylor Dickerson: Teacher Manger
Hi, my name is Taylor Dickerson; this is my third year teaching with Imagine That! and I am simply elated to be sharing my love of science this semester with like minded, curious young ones! Currently a student myself at Georgia State University, I am working toward degrees in Sociology and Anthropology, so naturally I have a great interest and love for people. Outside of class, I can be found brushing up on ballet technique in the studio, or snuggled up with my partner and our four-legged, furry child watching Netflix. I can’t wait for us to learn together and have fun while doing so!
Theresa Williams: Technology Manager and Teacher.
I have been working for Imagine That! since May of 2010 as a teacher and I also work full time as Supplies Manager. Before I started with Imagine That! I started a business with a partner called “Fit Kidz “, which specialized in bringing sports and games to day care centers in Cherokee and Cobb counties. I attended Columbus State University, Area Schools of Real Estate, and am now attending Kennesaw University for nursing. I realized a love of working with children through “Fit Kidz” and am continuously amazed that you can see a child learn through the expressions on their faces. It’s very gratifying!
