Join us for an amazing summer of Minecraft Programming, Learning and Fun! Four options to choose from!
Minecrafting Circuits and Cities (MCC)
Ages 7-9
Please read additional required information HERE.
For more information please view the Parent Letter.
In this exciting camp, students will learn the science behind circuits and Boolean Logic as they make their own circuits using light bulbs and homemade switches. They can then apply their circuitry knowledge using Redstone in MineCraft! Redstone can be used in Minecraft to make simple circuits, such as automatic doors and light switches.
Construct complex devices such as:
- Trap Doors
- Roller coasters
- Automatic farms
Students will learn about switches, the binary numeral system, the difference between series and parallel circuits, make upstairs/downstairs circuits and more, all while using problem solving skills and group cooperation. On the last day, students will use their new knowledge of binary and logic gates to create their own basic but functional calculators in Minecraft!
Students will also direct their enthusiasm for playing Minecraft into learning about and practicing city planning! We will work as a community to choose the land we develop, build homes, streets, lamps and find/create stable sources of food and income.
Students will learn about trading, civil responsibility and duties, agricultural planning and architecture while playing their favorite game with children who share the same passion.
We will help children understand coding in Minecraft using the Minecraft Hour of Code
Scratch Programming: Here is the program your technology minded student has been waiting for. With Scratch, your child will learn how to create computer programs using drop and drag technology that will bring their imagination to life right before their eyes! They will have the opportunity to make cartoons, movies, video games, animate their stories and compose music all done with Scratch. When your child comes home every evening from camp ask them to show you what they created. You will be amazed!!
We provide the computers for camp so that we do not have to spend valuable camp time downloading the program onto your students' computers!
Requirements: Students must have AT LEAST 10 hours of playing time ON A COMPUTER. The controls are different for all devices, so if your child has never played on a computer they will experience a lot of frustration in the first day of camp while they catch up.

Minecraft and Architectural Design M&AD Ages 8-12
Please view our Parent Letter for more information. Please read additional required information HERE.
- This camp will allow your student's creativity and knowledge of technology to come together in a bold new way. Using Lego® Architecture Studio and specially designed graph paper, students will draw, design, and build their own creations step by step, just like the Master Builders at Lego!
- Students will learn about architectural engineering as they draw, design, and build their own buildings with LEGOS, then they will expand on those ideas and build their design on a much grander scale in Minecraft!
- Students will use resources to help them build perfect domes and spheres in Minecraft. This is the perfect camp for your creative minded, Lego and Minecraft loving student!

Minecrafting, Programming and Logic (MPL)
Ages 11-14
Note: This class is limited to 10 students in order to enable the teacher to provide the support needed to teach programming.
Please view our Parent Letter for more information. Please click here to download the ComputerCraft Mod.
An exciting educational camp of Minecraft and ComputerCraft Programming. In this camp, students will learn programming skills using an add-on to Minecraft called ComputerCraft. ComputerCraft adds robots and computers to the world of Minecraft.
These can be programmed using the LUA scripting language.
Students will learn about:
- Variables
- Functions
- Conditional statements
- Loops
Students will improve their typing skills in a fun, familiar environment where the results of their work are immediately visible and very rewarding.
The LUA language is a fully featured and freely available programming language that can be used to write applications and games.
It is a perfect springboard for learning more complex languages like Java, C++, and others.
Students will conceptualize, write, and debug their very own program using new skills that remain useful outside of the Minecraft environment.
Students must have some previous programming knowledge (such as Scratch or MINDSTORMS) and strong typing skills to get the most out of this program.
In order to have some fun interaction among the students, we will also exercise their creative minds as they work in teams using Redstone to solve new challenges. Your student will learn different types of logic gates and how to use the binary numeral system to create a basic but functional calculator in Minecraft!
Requirements: Students must have AT LEAST 10 hours of playing time ON A COMPUTER. The controls are different for all devices, so if your child has never played on a computer they will experience a lot of frustration in the first day of camp while they catch up.

Minecraft Play (MP) Ages 5-14
This option is available during extended camp hours usually starting at 3:00.
This is available as an add on for students enrolled at camp or as an independent camp.
All students need to be familiar with Minecraft before joining this camp.
This will be an opportunity for students to interact in a group Minecraft environment. This is not the same as our structured camps and is meant for fun interaction with friends. This will predominantly be a free play experience.
